Foss,my mother-in-law makes the most disgusting dish, feeds the pig vegetables for a week prior to slaughter, feeds it again a few hours before throat-cut,then squeezes the semi-digested vegetable mush out of its stomach and mixes it with pig blood, when they kill a pig they waste....NOTHING!

my grandfather always eats boiled moose tongue... i don't realy like the texture.:S But i always eat anything i get served, at least i try. My granddad ones opened a can of rotten down fish, after looking for that stuf for years he finaly found it somewere in russia and bought everything they had-.-The smell of that fish just made me puke it was so awfull, imagine putting fish in a jar for 2 months and let it sit in mid summer right in the sun. Well i tasted it and it realy was awfull , it made me puke, that's the only thing i have never been able to eat in my life.

I used to know a guy from Sweden that ate that stuff.  They have a big folk festival thing every year where the eating of fermented fish is part of the festivities.  He says it smells so bad that the cans have to be opened under water.  They get hammered on vodka, then eat the fish washed down with a lot more vodka.  Crazy Scandinavians!

I've eaten the snails out of my back garden.  Pretty tasty when cooked right.

I think you have to soak shark before eating, just like with skate.

I've eaten some kind of rotten shark before, in iceland.  Called Hákarl i think.  It's honestly awful.  Anyone who tried a decent sized piece the size of a strawberry was sick.  I was more sensible and had a small piece, kept it down but god it is horrid.  Like eating lard but with an incredibly awful smell, and a slight fishy taste.
