Could any one point me in the right direction for a supplier and what mesh sizes , i would make it my self but i just finished replacing all my purse nets for this season and i don't have the time to bang out a 50yard gill net.

Temper, temper BF   I never laid claim to being wise, that was just to show you that maybe you should use a rod?As you said, you know nothing about gills, using a gill in freshwater in the UK is illegal, and the odds of anyone on this sceptered isle having to use a gill in a survival situation is nil.

What fish you after and what type of waters will you fish?Freshwater and sea nets dont really cross-over too well, sure you can catch freshwater in sea nets and vice-versa but your better off getting different nets.
