took my kids to the park today ,there is a large boating lake there and feeding on the grass were some canadian geese,i shot one with a catty and a .44cal lead shot,it hit mid neck,it just dropped to the ground and was clearly dead just a few flaps of the wings ! being as it was daytime i checked it was dead and hid it in the reeds, when i went back an hour later it was gone! theyre worth £20 each  here!!!! ille take a bag next time!

Could have been a fox?
when you have to leave something to pick it up later its a good idea to urinate [being polite] on the edges of the bush you hide it in,no fox will go anywhere near then, works a treat at night when hanging long tails in a bush for collecting later.

Just seen on the local news that you can get a £75 fine for feeding the canada geese in Nottingham,i wonder if that includes feeding them lead????
I wonder if it was the old lady that stole your rabbit a bit back that has taken your goose???
