Picked up this sharks jaw in Jeddah fish market, for about £4, going to mount it on my shed door !!!

11 " wide, 10" deep; it wasn't the biggest there by any means, there were some enormous hammerheads. It is big enough to go on my shed door !!!

The thing with your is its tooth perfect,I have had them in the past that had teeth knocked out etc,but the average native fisherman is more concerned with the fins and meat nowadays,I have a few hawksbill turtle shells,decent sized ones,they use them mainly for making guitars,I will get a few pics next month,funny the things you pick up   (No fish,I dont mean social diseases)
That will make a nice mount on a varnished plaque.

really nice shark jaws there ,TW i have a stuffed hawks bill they are very impressive everyone comments on mine hanging in our hallway

There was a local fisherman had some for sale,i went along the beach to have a look at them,they were still alive,have you felt the power in those things?The shells go for a couple of quid each when bought at source,even though I have netted that beach loads of times I havent actually caught one myself

turtle shells! can you get them into UK ok? are they covere by CITES? could do with one for crafts!

on a different note,this too would make a fine mount!

getting back to turtles this is the one i have and yes you must have all the paper work for these i got  this in a antique shop and they supplied all the certificates being pre 1947 it was not so bad but now it is even harder to obtain

Yeah steve,native name is PAWIKAN how longs the shell?Two and a half foot?I have seen them on dives off sabah,I fly into mactan last week in Feb,I will have a look around the guitar shops see if I can find a turtle-shell guitar to photograph.
How much did you pay Steve?
