A few weeks back i got talking the Morlans on here, and as it turned out young jeni makes a selection of high quality seasoning salts,as i was so keen to try some jen sent me a few samples.
Well when they arrived i quickly opened them, the first thing that struck me was the presentation, thses werent just pots full of stuff ,they were top quality clear resin salt grinders, complete with a realy nice lable. i had one with seaweed one with chilli and one with a game seasoning including juniper.
So with the tastebuds going i tried some straight away,i steamed a bit of salmon loin and sprinkled the seaweed one on it lightly, i will never let fish pass my lips with out this seasoning again it was stunning!
Next i diced some cold cooked beef sirloin, added some crutons and some olive oil ,a quick grind of the chilli salt and tossed it to cover in the seasoning.served on a  bed of crisp garden rocket and a chunk of warm crusty rye bread it was very good, the chilli was a good rounded flavour rather than the flame of the usual chilli seasoning ,that added with the flavour enhancing powers of the Gower sea salt realy transformed a tasty starter into something realy quite special.
By now i was in full cullenary mode! so i thaught next i would try some of the game seasoning with a fillet of venison i happened to have in the fridge(like y'do!) i wanted to ecperience this seasoning in a simple way just it and the venison. the fillet piece was flash fried in olive oil and served rare with a grind of the seasoning on top,the smell was good i could clearly smell the mellow juniper and bouquet of the  other seasonings,i cut into the fillet, the meat without a doubt the best of natures gifts,on the first mouthfull i was realy taken with just how good the seasonig made the venison fillet,it went from food of the gods to the food for God, i can see this seasoning being as good on pheasant, partridge or grouse,in a word, super.
So in conclusion i can disribe this range of gourmet salts in just 3 words,
stunning, super and special. Or if you prefer pretty bdooly good!
