You dont need a weapon to get food
Me and jeni went out the weekend gathering "sea crawlers" as she call,s em" and came home with a feast of surf clams and razor clams topped off with assorted edible sea weeds .
Does any one else on here do this
Dont get me wrong we are also quite partial to Game for the pot but does any one else gather the sea shores riches
The seashore for me provides ,whelks, mussels, and the odd crab, i've tried a few hand lines set at low tide but never had a lot of success at the hand lines , seaweed ?? never honestly fancy the thought of it (unless it's for the garden ) a walk along the seashore usually results in something interesting finding its way home for future use . I suppose thats one advantage of living in a wee fishing town.
well the closest ocean to me is 10 hours away...so I dont get over there very often.. but i will drag the occasional crawdad (crayfish) out of the creeks...i love living in the desert, but i am jealous of you guys over there being close to water...because I LOVE seafood, and we dont get a lot of where i live.
