a few biggies mooch along the shore in the evenings mopping up the mackerel heads that the anglers have thrown back in to the water!

When I saw this, I thought you'd be recounting a fishermans tale involving a common skate.

I'm hearing we're getting bass up here now, so out with the longlines I will be this summer.  A few sandeels should be worth a shot.

The mono fly is effective, but prices are lower.  And mono fly is illegal up here, it has to be multi fly and even then anglers and baliffifs rip them in.

Live sandeels is what I'm planning, with the beach siene I'm building, as the bait is free.
