Right then I have asked the question on a couple of other forums.

It obviously takes fuel and pumps up,so its some kind of burner.

So what is it for and what fuel does it take?

industrial heat gun ,posibly for stripping paint on ships.it will burn parafin.

ive got one of them made from brass i know its a burner but what trade would use it

my old man recons he used one for striping paint on ships back in the 50's.

most decorators and painters had one for stripping paint then they fetched out that paint stripper gell
