|
|
Hello there,
I built myself a new catapult yesterday. I wanted one that is
- has an ergo grip
- has a very narrow fork for maximum power
- is low above the hand for less wrist strain
- distributes the power of wide bands ideally over the fork tips
So I used 20 mm steel balls as forks! Welded them together and also used a steel rod and another steel tube. That is basically the skeleton of the new slingshot.
Then, I put on Fimo (modelling clay that hardens in the oven) to make my own custom grip, fitting my hand 100%.
Spray painted the grip in black, for a more professional look.
I put on Thera Band gold rubber, 7 cm wide, folded in the middle.
It shoots really well, is very compact and precise.
Here are some pics:
Greetings. Jörg
