Getting ichy feet now and want to start going out with the ferrets again. When does everyone else start ?
Also what s the best size long net to get ? I have a stretch that covers roughly a hundred holes and if I should miss any they tend to run down the same path down the bank, a good few briars are there so can be a bit difficult to use purse nets and aslo a pain in the butt to clear them.
I want a size that s the most practicle and not something that s a pain in the butt to use.

Tara.

I start in october to be sure of no baby conie down the holes,as for long nets well i have a 100yard one, however its more use for partridge, pheasant and black tip rabbit than rabbit, for fwerreting i recomend short nets accross the hedge line not paralel one every 230 yards will work.but as with many things others will do what they found works for them!

October, I can t wait that long, farmers been very patient so far but there s loads of them bunnies. I have some young ferrets to take later on in the year, but will take them to small burrows to have a nose round in.
Have a couple of monster ferrets to shift the bigger ones that sit tight.
I ll have to get some pictures this time as well and i m taking my little girl with me cause she keeps pestering to go and the youngest lad has shown interest so we could have plenty of fun this season.

Tara.
